I recently visited this beautiful facility, which is part of the Amish Door Village, and I cannot wait to hold our retreat there. Similar to last year, the Inn is an ideal location to hold our retreat because it is "a place affording peace, quiet, privacy and seclusion." To see for yourself, check out their website at: www.amishdoor.com. They have breathtaking views of the countryside, fitness room, indoor pool and hot tub, BIG conference room, and more. All rooms have two queen-size beds. The Amish Door Village also includes a bakery, market, gift shop, and restaurant, and even a dinner theater. So even if you’ve been to previous retreats, this will be an all-new experience.
The package includes 2 nights' stay (Friday and Saturday), Friday dinner, Saturday lunch and afternoon break, hearty continental breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings, registration and demonstration fees, all taxes and gratuities, and our usual prizes and surprises. Dinner Saturday evening is on your own. Price: $309/person, based on double occupancy. A slight increase from last year, but they have plenty of rooms so we shouldn’t have to turn ANYONE away. To register, click here for a Registration Form to download and print a copy.
Retreat registration will begin at 12:00 noon on Friday. We will have a lot of new demonstrations and projects, and of course, Show and Tell. An agenda with more details will come later. In the event you would want to come a day early and stay Thursday evening too, I have also reserved a very few rooms for that night. There's just never enough time to browse through all the quilt shops and other neat stores in the area.
While the date is earlier than past retreats, it's a great way to say "goodbye" to Summer, "hello" to Fall, and use it as a Preseason Warm-up for Buckeye Football!! So line up those unfinished projects, grab a friend or plan to make new ones, and mark your calendar for this great getaway weekend. I look forward to seeing you there!

ORDERING YOU'RE SEW SPECIAL PRODUCTS
You are able to order our products online directly from the following quilt shops:
If you see a product on this website that isn't listed on their website, they can still get it for you. These are two great quilt shops and their owners are eager to accommodate your OSU and OU quilt kit needs. This change will eliminate the ability to order our products directly from this website.
As many of you know, I came out with two new patterns this year, the O-H-I-O pillow pattern and the Little Fan pillow pattern. I just have to share this unrehearsed picture of my grandson truly enjoying his Little Fan pillow! I think this is a better testimonial than anything I could say! This quick, simple pattern makes a great gift for any baby or toddler. Again, both patterns are available through the quilt shops listed above.
WEBSITE CHANGES
We've retired a few kits - '02 Championship Logo appliqué kit, Quilt Pati Block O pillow kit, and Holiday Wreath kit. Second, because of rising supply costs I've had to increase the prices slightly on some of the kits. I've tried to hold off doing this as long as I could, and keep the changes to a minimum. And third, because of buyers' feedback, I have made changes to the Split Rail Block O and Log Cabin Block O kits. These kits will no longer include batting and backing because ladies have said they are incorporating these quilts into projects where they don't need the batting and backing in the kit. Or they want to use a different backing.
